The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Salmuera CP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Kismi to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave INTER Sosnowiec a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cyprian Brytka, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Salmuera CP's Carmelo Nikola. 0-1. Dariusz Andrychowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Nikola having to interfere. With a little luck, INTER Sosnowiec's Antoni Gniech got control of the ball when Eusebio Paskal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomasz Pietrowiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Carmelo Nikola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antoni Gniech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Paskal in the 23rd minute of the match. Eusebio Paskal hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Leon Vargas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 35 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Leon Vargas. After a rather tough play, INTER Sosnowiec's Marek Chlebek got a free kick in the 39th minute. With a little luck, INTER Sosnowiec's Antoni Gniech got control of the ball when Eusebio Paskal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tomasz Pietrowiak made the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Nikola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Salmuera CP getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marcial Kismi hit a great ball. Eusebio Paskal hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Leon Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Salmuera CP booed when INTER Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klement Okraszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antoni Gniech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The INTER Sosnowiec supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing INTER Sosnowiec would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
