The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico França in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Matadores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico França in the 13th minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Paulo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Eurico França notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Matadores FC's Paulo da Silva. Paulo da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Cearense came free, but Paulo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Matadores FC defense, Benjamim Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo da Silva. The Matadores FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo da Silva should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Eurico França sped through Matadores FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo da Silva. When Hílton Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Guedes couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Benjamim Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo da Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 39th minute, Eurico França left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Erechim - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Hílton Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Paulo da Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamim Vargas's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Paulo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Silva in the 46th minute of play. Hílton Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Cearense in the 54th minute of the match. Paulo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Vargas in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Matadores FC's Toninho Porto got a free kick in the 57th minute. Paulo da Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico França went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Silva got free with Paulo da Silva in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Valle hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Eurico França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo da Silva having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Vargas came free, but Paulo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo da Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Vieira in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Carlos Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Murillo Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico França did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-8 to the left of a surprised Paulo da Silva 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Cearense in the 88th minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Paulo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico França got free with Paulo da Silva in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
