An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Bryngelsson in the 4th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Saul Väänänen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elefanterna's Axel Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valio Sammalkangas in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Saul Väänänen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taavetti Valkealahti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Valio Sammalkangas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Elefanterna's Axel Häll. Axel Häll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonatan Bryngelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Väänänen having to interfere. In the 26th minute Jonatan Bryngelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Väänänen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Elefanterna defense, Taavetti Valkealahti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Axel Häll. The Elefanterna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Axel Häll should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Taavetti Valkealahti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saul Väänänen made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Paul Pihlblad sent off a good shot on target. Elefanterna's Jonatan Bryngelsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Saul Väänänen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 47 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Taavetti Valkealahti.

Saul Väänänen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Elefanterna's Lennart Busk got a free kick in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Bryngelsson came free, but Saul Väänänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paul Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Alexander Göransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elefanterna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United FC the free kick. Saul Väänänen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 77 minutes into the game, Jonas Jakobsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Saul Väänänen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Axel Häll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pekko Palo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Manchester United FC's Reima Ruuttu got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viktor Löfgren took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saul Väänänen. Saul Väänänen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. When Jonatan Bryngelsson came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Elefanterna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Bryngelsson couldn't finish the play. Elefanterna's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
