The supporters of Queens of Lublin booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Amarandei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match, Alfred Falkiewicz sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Lucrețiu Manolache showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. A collision led to Queens of Lublin getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Cezary Tscherner hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Nicu Isăilă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugon Spychalski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Hieronim Mietus hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Queens of Lublin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigiusz Kicia to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes of play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Cătălin Bostan made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugon Spychalski was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicu Isăilă made a kick off. Nicu Isăilă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Hugon Spychalski made a huge save. The supporters of FC Politehnica Timisoara booed when Queens of Lublin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Tscherner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugon Spychalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Cezary Tscherner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Manolache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugon Spychalski made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Moise Antoniu sent off a good shot on target. After 61 played minutes Queens of Lublin got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Ptaszek. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Dorin Lungu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudiu Azamfirei during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Claudiu Azamfirei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Isăilă in the 68th minute of play forced Queens of Lublin's goalkeeper Hugon Spychalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hieronim Mietus charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hieronim Mietus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Anton Dugulescu hit a great ball. Hugon Spychalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Lungu in the 91st minute of the match. The FC Politehnica Timisoara supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Politehnica Timisoara would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
