Lucrețiu Manolache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uuno Ande in the 4th minute. Haarald Nemvalts came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Politehnica Timisoara's Claudiu Azamfirei. But to his dismay, Claudiu Azamfirei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elar Arumäe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Lucrețiu Manolache when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 15 minutes into the match, FC Viplala's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Antoniu came free, but Haarald Nemvalts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Urmet Vainsalu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Lucrețiu Manolache to make any attempt to save it. Haarald Nemvalts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Azamfirei, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Azamfirei in the 27th minute of play forced FC Viplala's goalkeeper Haarald Nemvalts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Kiur Vähe put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, FC Viplala's Kiur Vähe got a free kick in the 29th minute. Dorin Lungu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haarald Nemvalts. FC Viplala's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elar Arumäe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lucrețiu Manolache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uuno Ande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucrețiu Manolache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Haarald Nemvalts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Isăilă in the 42nd minute of play. Lucrețiu Manolache made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Elar Arumäe sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicu Isăilă made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Viplala's Jarmo Virkus got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Dorin Lungu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nicu Isăilă received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Haarald Nemvalts came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicu Isăilă slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 57th minute. The supporters of FC Viplala booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Isăilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucrețiu Manolache came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Viplala's Uuno Ande. But to his dismay, Uuno Ande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Haarald Nemvalts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elar Arumäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Dugulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, FC Viplala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janno Pukk to maneuver through the defense. When Elar Arumäe came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the FC Viplala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elar Arumäe couldn't finish the play. Moise Antoniu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Haarald Nemvalts firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costel Gorunescu during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
