Adão Semedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jânio Arantes hit a great ball. Agua Santa's Emanuel Vianna was substituted for Cipriano Pinho. In the 28th minute, Afonso Castanheira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Agua Santa's Tomé Mota didn't even have to move. Laércio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Neves in the 37th minute of play forced AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Adão Semedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Téo Tróia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adão Semedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nicolau Fagundes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Tomé Mota made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laércio Neves was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Quintal during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. AD Pontassolense made a substitution. Zacarias Leitão replaced Adelino Vilanova. Agua Santa made a substitution. Olavo Vianna replaced Cléberson do Valle. Agua Santa made a substitution. Pedro Luís Arantes replaced Murilo Fernandes. The Agua Santa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Agua Santa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
