Spectators: 209 (Terracing: 157, Seating: 48, VIP seats: 4) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Philip Ploughman took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes in the game, Spike Moyse fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Laurence Blewett having to interfere. After some careless play in the Valencia C.F. defense, Philip Ploughman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Kerr. The Valencia C.F. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Kerr should have stopped the shot. Spike Moyse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laurence Blewett having to make a save. After 15 played minutes FC Shakhtar Donetsk got a freekick which was hit by Joe Rooney. Donald Marshall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Laurence Blewett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martyn Markham, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 18 minutes, Martyn Markham made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Laurence Blewett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Leon Ricketts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurence Blewett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Laurence Blewett came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia C.F.'s Martyn Markham. But to his dismay, Martyn Markham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Martyn Markhams short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Laurence Blewett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joe Rooney's late challenge caught a Valencia C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joe Rooney helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Valencia C.F. booed when FC Shakhtar Donetsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Rooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Martyn Markham dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laurence Blewett, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brandon Armstrong made a kick off. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Laurence Blewett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Armstrong in the 53rd minute of play. When Stu Walker fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Shakhtar Donetsk's protests and gave Stu Walker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Stu Walker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Brandon Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Valencia C.F.'s Spike Moyse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laurence Blewett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Spike Moyse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valencia C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Spike Moyse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurence Blewett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 72 minutes, Brandon Armstrong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Brandon Armstrong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brandon Armstrong in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurence Blewett saved FC Shakhtar Donetsk from getting behind. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Laurence Blewett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Armstrong in the 86th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Armstrong came free, but Laurence Blewett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Miles Lancaster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Lilley's late challenge caught a FC Shakhtar Donetsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Lilley helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Shakhtar Donetsk booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Lilley didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Valencia C.F. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
