The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Frederik got free with German Ourente in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Sergio Canor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Braulio Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Fabian Sindo fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rafaela FC's protests and gave Fabian Sindo a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rafaela FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! After 31 played minutes Pucará got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Moreno. Ladislao Frederik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but German Ourente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Albano Cordarell struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. German Ourente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pucará. Teodosio Muno kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Rafaela FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Anastasio Lano kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 58 minutes of play, Rafaela FC's Braulio Vermudo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Iraitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Frederik in the 64th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pucará getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sergio Canor hit a great ball. Pucará made a substitution. Ariel López replaced Anastasio Lano. Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel López in the 82nd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Celestino Hever dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobias Iraitz, 0-3. In the 92nd minute Ariel López shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Hernando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Ourente having to interfere. If Marcelino Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
