Fridun Scheppach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Prospero Florin made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Eleder during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Deportivo David Mardel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Gelacio to maneuver through the defense. Reinhard Widmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Montrelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinhard Widmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Reinhard Widmann came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo David Mardel's Joel Lleir. But to his dismay, Joel Lleir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Lleir made a kick off. Serafino Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Deportivo David Mardel defense, Hajo Berroth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Florin. The Deportivo David Mardel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Florin should have stopped the shot. In the 68th minute, Nathan Tangermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Mario Montrelle reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reinhard Widmann. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 80th minute, Joel Lleir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reinhard Widmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Prospero Florin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hajo Berroth, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Deportivo David Mardel's Ovidio Merexildo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Hornbosteler SV's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Gelacio came free, but Reinhard Widmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hornbosteler SV booed when Deportivo David Mardel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Merexildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Deportivo David Mardel were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Hornbosteler SV side.
