An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Atkins in the 12th minute of play forced Glyka Nera FC's goalkeeper Thanasis Thomopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Carl Atkins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thanasis Thomopoulos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, The Tigers's Carl Atkins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanasis Thomopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Glyka Nera FC's Nikos Lianos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franz Dunlop narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timothy Lemerond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Konstantinos Stelas kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Tigers had played much better football throughout.
