After 11 minutes, Sixto Xabier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Fernet Branca and the Rossangeles players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rossangeles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixto Xabier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Mazuste in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Biagio Eleuteri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sportivo Fernet Branca fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Sportivo Fernet Branca's Alfredo Mazuste looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Artemio Salomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Rossangeles's Biagio Eleuteri got control of the ball when Artemio Salomon tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Artemio Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rossangeles's Cristiano Cardillo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Gaston Rafe's late challenge caught a Rossangeles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match was over Sportivo Fernet Branca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rossangeles throughout the match.
