Hakkı Onur Şems took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Hosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Boran Mümtaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stoicii's Florin Boerescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdullatif Siralp in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acun Tamerk in the 28th minute of play forced Stoicii's goalkeeper Florin Boerescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Iftimescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cafer Sonalp during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cafer Sonalp hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Abdullatif Siralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandru Zaki made a kick off. Hakkı Onur Şems showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Zaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Abdullatif Siralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Boerescu having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Bornova's Boran Mümtaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florin Boerescu. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. In the 75th minute, Alexandru Zaki made a precise shot to the right of Hakkı Onur Şems. Bornova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Mihail Iftimescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hakkı Onur Şems. Bornova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihail Iftimescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 84 minutes, Alexandru Zaki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stoicii and the Bornova players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stoicii's Alexandru Zaki got a free kick in the 84th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Zaki came free, but Hakkı Onur Şems reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Eric Şoimu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
