The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Jaagup Valgupera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roman Kismi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roman Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaagup Valgupera in the 9th minute of play. In the 31st minute Jaagup Valgupera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Magdaleno in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Risto Leinatamm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grimório's Risto Leinatamm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Grimório from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Fernendo got free with Risto Leinatamm in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Grimório were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jaagup Valgupera made the kick off in the second half. Risto Leinatamm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Magdaleno in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Juhan Johannson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roman Kismi. That made the score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. Mario Uhin hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jaagup Valgupera struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Roman Kismi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grimório. Roman Kismi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaagup Valgupera in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juhan Johannson in the 88th minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Roman Kismi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
