Dale Murphy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dorking United FC's Dale Murphy got a free kick in the 27th minute. Wambalamba FC's Adhemar da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Doug Lovell made a precise shot to the right of João Pedro dos Santos. Wambalamba FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Guga Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Lowndes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter da Silva to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Adhemar da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wambalamba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhemar da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clive Blake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Guga Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Lowndes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but João Pedro dos Santos made a huge save. After having played for 65 minutes, Hamílton Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wambalamba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamílton Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Roger Faulkner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Lowndes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Pedro dos Santos having to make a save. John Paul Edworthy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but João Pedro dos Santos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Ellison in the 74th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper João Pedro dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 played minutes Dorking United FC got a freekick which was hit by Zaq Gerrard. Clive Blake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Lowndes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but João Pedro dos Santos made a huge save. João Pedro dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Faulkner in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Teodoro Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wambalamba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dorking United FC the free kick. In the 91st minute, Teodoro Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorking United FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
