In the 16th minute, Toninho Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Malcolm Hansson. Ghost Hunters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Pombal 2003 F.C. from getting a goal against them. Malcolm Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Ribeiro in the 27th minute of play. Malcolm Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Bengt-Rune Rudkvist got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Pombal 2003 F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Luís Moreno hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Cícero Ribeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pombal 2003 F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 43rd minute of the match, Bukayo Borglin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilson Arósio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half Pombal 2003 F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bukayo Borglin was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Bukayo Borglin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilson Arósio was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bukayo Borglin in the 57th minute of play forced Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goalkeeper Gilson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bukayo Borglin in the 58th minute of play. Gilson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bukayo Borglin in the 61st minute of the match. Malcolm Hansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Moreno in the 64th minute. Timmy Wester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilson Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Ghost Hunters's Malcolm Hansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ghost Hunters from getting a goal against them. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bukayo Borglin in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Bukayo Borglin struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Gilson Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghost Hunters. Malcolm Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Coelho in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Yan Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Bukayo Borglin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilson Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 88th match minute, Ghost Hunters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Berggren to maneuver through the defense. Malcolm Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Toninho Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
