In the 2nd minute, Laércio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adan Hustaz sped through Carrossel Caipira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilberto Rossi. In the 10th minute, Carrossel Caipira's Olívio Sanches dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Serafino Geofredo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gilberto Rossi. In the 17th minute, Serafino Geofredo made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Rossi. Carrossel Caipira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Renato de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Bernardo Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Carrossel Caipira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Sanches to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Serafino Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Potrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Geofredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Antunes during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Carrossel Caipira got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Antunes. 40 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Javier Steven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olavo Paiva. Carrossel Caipira's Olavo Paiva pulled a muscle in his leg after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Albino Cruz got a free kick in the 44th minute. The Carrossel Caipira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C. A. Potrero were winning 1-4.

The wind increased when Serafino Geofredo made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play Carrossel Caipira's Gabriel Antunes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Carrossel Caipira getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gabriel Antunes hit a great ball. If Teodoro Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Rossi was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Alejo Nerio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alejo Nerio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Sanches in the 74th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Javier Steven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enio de Mendonça in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Steven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Niceto Lehior hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Enio de Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Javier Steven. C. A. Potrero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. The C. A. Potrero players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
