After a rather tough play, Jabaquara SC's Fabinho Salgado got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Cleiton Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cleiton Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Bernt Ödman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Tepedino. Jabaquara SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernt Ödman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter de Andrade in the 10th minute of play forced Hawk Tuah FC's goalkeeper Eddie Bergström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Herman Nyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hawk Tuah FC were furious when Per-Erik Brun was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Hawk Tuah FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Per-Erik Brun hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes Jabaquara SC got a freekick which was hit by Romeu de Azevedo. Hawk Tuah FC's Herman Nyman got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Eddie Bergström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bernt Ödman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Jabaquara SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Thedin came free, but Luís Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Nyman in the 34th minute of play forced Jabaquara SC's goalkeeper Luís Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th match minute, Hawk Tuah FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Nyman to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Herman Nyman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Luís Tepedino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Jabaquara SC's zone, Bernt Ödman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Tepedino came out of the goal and Bernt Ödman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Válter de Andrade made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jabaquara SC's goalkeeper Luís Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Jabaquara SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Herman Nyman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jabaquara SC's Cleiton Fontes got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Cleiton Fontes off the ground. The supporters of Hawk Tuah FC booed when Jabaquara SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Luís Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, Hawk Tuah FC's Leif Västlund made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Tepedino was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hawk Tuah FC's Ralf Thedin in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jabaquara SC's goalie prevented a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Jabaquara SC's goalkeeper Luís Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herman Nyman. After 74 played minutes Jabaquara SC got a freekick which was hit by Válter de Andrade. After having played for 79 minutes, Herman Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawk Tuah FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Nyman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hawk Tuah FC's Bernt Ödman got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 played minutes Jabaquara SC got a freekick which was hit by Mané Moreira. Ingvar Kleen struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Luís Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawk Tuah FC. Luís Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Herman Nyman sent off a good shot on target. Luís Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herman Nyman in the 91st minute.
