Los Podridos ll's Lisandro Goi suffered a sore thigh after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ellis Jakob charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ellis Jakob the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anacleto Janpier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Hilario Aguilera made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Sandkühler. KFC Uerdingen 05's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Amancio Roldanillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Sandkühler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Hilario Nuno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Van Hoojdonk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hartwig Kirsch struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hilario Nuno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Uerdingen 05. In the 32nd minute Hilario Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Sandkühler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Podridos ll's Hilario Nuno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Szymanski in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ellis Jakob hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Barros came free, but Oscar Sandkühler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Sandkühler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Aguilera in the 41st minute of play. Zacarias Frisco kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Los Podridos ll's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Van Hoojdonk came free, but Hilario Nuno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KFC Uerdingen 05's Oscar Sandkühler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Aguilera in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Pierre Van Hoojdonk got a free kick in the 51st minute. The tension between the KFC Uerdingen 05 and the Los Podridos ll players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Sebastian Szymanski came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the KFC Uerdingen 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Szymanski couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierre Van Hoojdonk during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. KFC Uerdingen 05's Oscar Sandkühler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen 05 from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hilario Aguilera got free with Oscar Sandkühler in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
