The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Abaurre in the 2nd minute of play forced Halcon Sport 69's goalkeeper Tabby Leceta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tabby Leceta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sol Abaunza in the 3rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chorache Boreyta during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Halcon Sport 69 got a freekick which was hit by Chorache Boreyta. In the 5th minute, Severino Abel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Gillermo Serrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lore Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Guillermo Abaurre notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Halcon Sport 69's Tabby Leceta. Tabby Leceta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Esdras Abeitia hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 25thth minute of the game Gillermo Serrano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River CBBA's Lore Abajas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ofelio Borizars short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Lore Abajas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chorache Boreyta hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tabby Leceta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Abaurre in the 37th minute of the match. Halcon Sport 69's Tabby Leceta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Abello in the 41st minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 44th minute, but Lore Abajas got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving River CBBA hanging dry this time. Tabby Leceta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half River CBBA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gillermo Serrano made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boniel Tama in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lore Abajas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River CBBA! The supporters of River CBBA booed when Halcon Sport 69 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillerme Guereña didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Halcon Sport 69's Gillermo Serrano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lore Abajas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ofelio Borizar in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lore Abajas saved River CBBA from getting behind. Sol Abaunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Halcon Sport 69's Tabby Leceta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Halcon Sport 69 from getting a goal against them. In the 80th match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hug Abel to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Jacobo Pan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lore Abajas skillfully saved the ball. Boniel Tama took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lore Abajas. Lore Abajas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Jacobo Pan fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halcon Sport 69's protests and gave Jacobo Pan a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 minutes of play, Halcon Sport 69's Boniel Tama made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lore Abajas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ofelio Borizar in the 98th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Lore Abajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River CBBA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
