Venancio Pancho started the match with the kick off. Santo Shantala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Gejda in the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Przełęcz Dukla's zone, Venancio Pancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witold Niedzwiecki came out of the goal and Venancio Pancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Venancio Pancho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Witold Niedzwiecki saved Przełęcz Dukla from getting behind. If Carlos Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes, Rolando Steven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1989 Blxsk and the Przełęcz Dukla players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Przełęcz Dukla booed when 1989 Blxsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Steven didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Przełęcz Dukla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Tomporowski to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Przełęcz Dukla booed when 1989 Blxsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Seršen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kazimierz Harendarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Santo Shantala made a huge save. Carlos Gerazan charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Gerazan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, 1989 Blxsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Padro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Santo Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwidon Bielenda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match, Gwidon Bielenda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santo Shantala saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 1989 Blxsk's Amadeo Santikurtz was substituted for Jeremias Padro. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadeusz Galus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Emanuel Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Robert Gejda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Shantala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, 1989 Blxsk's Pedro Seršen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Witold Niedzwiecki. Witold Niedzwiecki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a rather tough play, 1989 Blxsk's Braulio Santio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Santo Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Bielenda, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute Anacleto Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witold Niedzwiecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Cibran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Witold Niedzwiecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gwidon Bielenda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Shantala having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Anacleto Cibran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th match minute, Przełęcz Dukla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Galus to maneuver through the defense. Przełęcz Dukla made a substitution. Jaroslaw Prusek replaced Ksawery Adamczak. In the 78th match minute, Przełęcz Dukla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Galus to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes 1989 Blxsk got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Steven. After recieving a nice pass, Przełęcz Dukla's Gwidon Bielenda tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pedro Seršen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Witold Niedzwiecki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
