Jaroslaw Klewinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Rogelio Gaur made a huge save. If Ulryk Dynda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Zbigniew Galagan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olimpia HSB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tigre the free kick. In the 24th minute, Ulryk Dynda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia HSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Bittor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucjan Orling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rogelio Gaur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zbigniew Galagan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Olimpia HSB fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tigre had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
