Oylimpiamos Ψ's supporters rose to their feet, but Inautzi Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermann Althaus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Knut Kuschel made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Möhnsen FC's Hermann Althaus got control of the ball when Inautzi Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Möhnsen FC's Timo Elgert got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Möhnsen FC's Hermann Althaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pudes Bachiller in the 56th minute of play. Hermann Althaus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hibai Luna in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Möhnsen FC's goalkeeper Hermann Althaus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Inautzi Abreu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Möhnsen FC's Hermann Althaus did a great save. The supporters of Möhnsen FC booed when Oylimpiamos Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hibai Luna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Günther Kaiser made a precise shot to the right of Leo Puncet. Oylimpiamos Ψ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Leo Puncet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Kuschel in the 74th minute of play. Bernardino Antigua's late challenge caught a Möhnsen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardino Antigua helped the player get up and apologised. 82 minutes into the match, Möhnsen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pudes Bachiller came free, but Hermann Althaus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hibai Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Knut Kuschel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Puncet. Oylimpiamos Ψ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Knut Kuschel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 89 played minutes Oylimpiamos Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Santi Villafranca. Pudes Bachiller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Inautzi Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Oylimpiamos Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Kuschel came free, but Leo Puncet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oylimpiamos Ψ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
