Roland Jaszcz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Mota in the 12th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leal Leitão to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isac Mota was the one to do the kick off. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were furious when Silvano Meireles was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 67 played minutes Lincoln City got a freekick which was hit by Lukasz Hodyl. Isac Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wiktor Labus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lincoln City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A..
