Hamilton Poças made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Joel Espiridion sent off a good shot on target. Antonio Cordara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvano Morais went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Guns And Roses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Silvano Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 minutes, Nivaldo Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. and the Guns And Roses players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nivaldo Correia to maneuver through the defense. Joel Espiridion's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Hamilton Poças skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s David Azenha got a free kick in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvaro Iigo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hamilton Poças. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Guns And Roses's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Morais came free, but Antonio Cordara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Porfírio Laureano fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s protests and gave Porfírio Laureano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, one of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Guns And Roses's Alvaro Iigo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hamilton Poças. Joel Espiridion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamilton Poças read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Porfírio Laureano thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hamilton Poças, a very annoying self made goal in the 48th minute which led to 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Iigo to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Espiridion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hamilton Poças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamilton Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Espiridion, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A collision led to Guns And Roses getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Genaro Fernado hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Óscar Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Guns And Roses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Seber to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 66 minutes, Isac Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamilton Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Espiridion in the 71st minute of play. When Nivaldo Correia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. Nivaldo Correia hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Hamilton Poças came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Guns And Roses's Joel Espiridion. But to his dismay, Joel Espiridion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 84th minute Alvaro Iigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamilton Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Isac Mota hit a great ball.
