The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan-Frode Søderholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sjef Prins's late challenge caught a Daustad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sjef Prins helped the player get up and apologised. Sjef Prins kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Frode Søderholm in the 6th minute of play forced MK Investments's goalkeeper Kelvin Overmars to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kelvin Overmars showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Kaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Christer Kaland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kelvin Overmars was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Sebastian Kvernmo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Christer Kaland, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kelvin Overmars was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Christer Kaland sped through MK Investments's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kelvin Overmars. The Daustad fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Daustad's Christer Kaland looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kelvin Overmars took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Kaland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kelvin Overmars showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Kaland in the 28th minute of the match. When Daustad's Christer Kaland in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kelvin Overmars stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Kvernmo's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Mathias Jordet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christer Kaland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kelvin Overmars having to make a save. If Christer Kaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Kvernmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Isachsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demy Krommert in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Daustad were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Demy Krommert made the kick off in the second half. Tor-Henrik Skretteberg hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 53 minutes, Dag Ose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daustad and the MK Investments players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for MK Investments. Demy Krommert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfred Isachsen. 1-3. After a rather tough play, MK Investments's Govert Tinge got a free kick in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, MK Investments's goalkeeper Kelvin Overmars had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Frode Søderholm. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christer Kaland in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kelvin Overmars prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sjef Prins got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Christer Kaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Daustad were awarded a corner. Sebastian Kvernmo went to the cornerflag to take it. Daustad's Jan-Ivar Steiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kelvin Overmars in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. MK Investments's Kelvin Overmars proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save MK Investments from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Christer Kaland sped through MK Investments's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kelvin Overmars. After 87 minutes, Tobias Bjørdal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daustad and the MK Investments players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Daustad got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Bjørdal. After 97 played minutes Daustad got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Kvernmo. Daustad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
