With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonia Webb in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Owen McGinnis saved CLAYMORE COUNTRY from getting behind. 7 minutes into the match, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goal looked a bit too open when Baptiste Beck came free, but Owen McGinnis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Eusebio Briggs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Owen McGinnis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Lisboa e Benfica reached it. After 11 minutes, Kenton Cervantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CLAYMORE COUNTRY and the Sport Lisboa e Benfica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kenton Cervantes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Rashad Lewis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Irving Dennis. Rashad Lewis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Malcolm MacDonald charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malcolm MacDonald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Georges Christopher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Owen McGinnis. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Baptiste Beck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen McGinnis having to interfere. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Owen McGinnis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonia Webb in the 37th minute of play. Owen McGinnis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baptiste Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Owen McGinnis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonia Webb went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Carlton Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Lisboa e Benfica's protests and gave Carlton Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Anton Coulombe. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Georges Christopher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Georges Christopher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Owen McGinnis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boniface Fulton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Owen McGinnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Owen McGinnis made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Antonia Webb sent off a good shot on target. If Baptiste Beck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Irving Dennis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rashad Lewis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Antione Lacroix was substituted for Neil Jacques. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Lucien Cruz was substituted for Fernando Washburn. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eusebio Briggs hit a great ball. Owen McGinnis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boniface Fulton in the 76th minute. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Owen McGinnis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonia Webb in the 78th minute of play. Sherwood Sweet kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Carlton Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Baptiste Beck fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Lisboa e Benfica's protests and gave Baptiste Beck a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CLAYMORE COUNTRY booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baptiste Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Baptiste Beck made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Owen McGinnis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Rashad Lewis came free, but Irving Dennis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
