Blue Angels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velho Barreiro FC the free kick. Simon Björk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Vander in the 21st minute of play. Ola Brogren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Jörgen Nordstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bebeto Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Björk having to interfere. A collision led to Blue Angels getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Yngve Persson hit a great ball. José Carlos Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Collin in the 39th minute of the match. Ola Brogren hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The supporters of Velho Barreiro FC booed when Blue Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Collin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Christian Messias made the kick off in the second half. Elano Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Simon Björk made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Messias in the 60th minute of play forced Blue Angels's goalkeeper Simon Björk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Björk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Messias in the 66th minute of play.
