Hillar Käps might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caetano Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hillar Käps ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabrício Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Einar Murumaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Lucas in the 19th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Hillar Käps ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caetano Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 41st minute, Leopold Lehtmäe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hillar Käps to make the kick off. Fabrício Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
