After some careless play in the Errecaborda AFC defense, Murilo Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Lauaxeta. The Errecaborda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Lauaxeta should have stopped the shot. Anibal Pes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elói de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19thth minute of the game Felipe Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Errecaborda AFC's Martin Lauaxeta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murilo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Martin Lauaxeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Omero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Elói de Medeiros made a huge save. When Isidro Toribio came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Errecaborda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Toribio couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Pes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elói de Medeiros. Barrenta SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute, Murilo Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrenta SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 45thth minute of the game Federico Omero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Elói de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Omero to make the kick off. Elói de Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Toribio's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Naldo Oliveira got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Errecaborda AFC's Federico Omero in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 64th minute Federico Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Pes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elói de Medeiros having to make a save. Felipe Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Errecaborda AFC's Federico Omero in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrenta SC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Errecaborda AFC's Benjamin Etxepare got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Sandro Quirino's late challenge caught a Errecaborda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Quirino. Elói de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Omero in the 95th minute of the match. The Errecaborda AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Barrenta SC to win.
