Lorenz Grasedieck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute Oswald Haeselaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egbert Kerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haithabu FC's Andrez Van Aertvinck got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Emiel Stercks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egbert Kerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Egbert Kerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiel Stercks, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Traktor Götz's Olivier Schwarzbach got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Andrez Van Aertvinck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Traktor Götz's Egbert Kerber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiel Stercks struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Egbert Kerber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haithabu FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswald Haeselaers got free with Egbert Kerber in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswald Haeselaers in the 45th minute of play forced FC Traktor Götz's goalkeeper Egbert Kerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Oswald Haeselaers made the kick off in the second half. Haithabu FC's Emiel Stercks got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Andrez Van Aertvinck in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Oswald Haeselaers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haithabu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswald Haeselaers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egbert Kerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Haithabu FC booed when FC Traktor Götz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenz Grasedieck didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Emiel Stercks came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Haithabu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiel Stercks couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes of play, Haithabu FC's Andrez Van Aertvinck made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egbert Kerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Egbert Kerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Haeselaers in the 64th minute of the match. The Haithabu FC fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Haithabu FC's Oswald Haeselaers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Conrad Lilleike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ive Verhoeven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Traktor Götz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswald Haeselaers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
