In the 14th minute of the match, Sergen İmar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yves Marquart was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Çanakkale's Güven Hüsrev got a free kick in the 21st minute. Şinasi Tanzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Berland, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Eren Özduran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yves Marquart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Çanakkale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlyas Tolga Balkır to maneuver through the defense. After 48 minutes, Mustafa Anıl Karadeniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Çanakkale and the TSV Delliehausen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yunus Argun's late challenge caught a TSV Delliehausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Berland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
