After a rather tough play, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Eugenio Redondas got a free kick in the 19th minute. Amado Ciscal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kazimierz Miazga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. When Eutor Besteo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's protests and gave Eutor Besteo a yellow card for diving instead. Eutor Besteo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Amado Ciscal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugeniusz Turek in the 27th minute of play. Kazimierz Miazga took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amado Ciscal. Amado Ciscal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a little luck, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Amado Ciscal got control of the ball when Kazimierz Miazga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raphael Mosquera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Skikiewicz having to interfere. Grzegorz Skikiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xalvador Guixot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaiet Ambrosio made a kick off. Grzegorz Skikiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaiet Ambrosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Grzegorz Skikiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaiet Ambrosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Eugeniusz Turek managed to get in a good position for a shot. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugeniusz Turek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź booed when Berenjenas de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Redondas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Miazga came free, but Amado Ciscal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo booed when ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hieronim Trochowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Miguel Gibaja got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
