After a rather tough play, Compugraf's Váldson Catarinense got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ladislao Prat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Chico Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Domingos Bobadilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linterna verde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Bobadilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Chico Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Bobadilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes, Linterna verde's Paz Arciniega shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chico Fernandez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linterna verde reached it. 58 minutes into the match, Compugraf's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Bobadilla came free, but Chico Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 played minutes Linterna verde got a freekick which was hit by Gaueko Sevillano. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Selatse Mexia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Compugraf booed when Linterna verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elixio Pedrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linterna verde's Selatse Mexia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Domingues in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Bobadilla in the 97th minute of play forced Compugraf's goalkeeper Chico Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Linterna verde supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Compugraf's performance. The match ended with a win for Compugraf.
