An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Albuquerque in the 10th minute of play forced ZorlaGeldik's goalkeeper Erdal Bicanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samir Garip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of ZorlaGeldik booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Sobral didn't get a good kick on the ball. ZorlaGeldik's Erdal Bicanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Carrasqueira in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Jairo Carrasqueira made a precise shot to the right of Erdal Bicanoğlu. ZorlaGeldik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bican Belen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Carmona having to interfere. Germano Carmona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kadri Muhsin in the 30th minute. After 34 played minutes ZorlaGeldik got a freekick which was hit by Gencer Cihangir. ZorlaGeldik's Erdal Bicanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Albuquerque in the 35th minute of play. Samir Garip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Germano Carmona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Carrasqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erdal Bicanoğlu came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Stars Academy's Américo Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Américo Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Erdal Bicanoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Carrasqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Gencer Cihangir hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Bican Belen charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bican Belen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64thth minute of the game Bento Perdigão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZorlaGeldik's Erdal Bicanoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ragıp Altın lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 66th match minute, ZorlaGeldik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragıp Altın to maneuver through the defense. If Américo Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Leme hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Bento Perdigão's late challenge caught a ZorlaGeldik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bento Perdigão helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Stars Academy got a freekick which was hit by Bento Perdigão. A collision led to Stars Academy getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. António Cortez hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ZorlaGeldik's Gencer Cihangir got a free kick in the 96th minute.
