Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ove Åberg got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Eric Axelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bearnaise EA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lyon the free kick. The supporters of Lyon booed when Bearnaise EA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Axelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Didier Donnart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peder Söderberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the last second Tony Burg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ove Åberg in the 10thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Tony Burg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Axelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Didier Donnart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peder Söderberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eric Axelsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tony Burg. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. Ove Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Burg having to interfere. With a little luck, Lyon's Tony Burg got control of the ball when Ove Åberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Lyon getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Célestin Cazier hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Ove Åberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Burg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Axelsson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Burg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Axelsson in the 35th minute of play forced Lyon's goalkeeper Tony Burg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bearnaise EA getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lukas Löfgren hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match Jordan Lorenzini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peder Söderberg skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Lyon defense, Ove Åberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Burg. The Lyon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Burg should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didier Donnart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tony Burg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Axelsson's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Lyon getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Théodore Janet hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Bearnaise EA's Ove Åberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Burg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ove Åberg struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Tony Burg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bearnaise EA. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Åberg in the 67th minute of play forced Lyon's goalkeeper Tony Burg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bearnaise EA's Ove Åberg in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lyon's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Didier Donnart kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peder Söderberg. That made the score 4-2 in the 70 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ove Åberg in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Burg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lyon's Tony Burg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Åberg in the 82nd minute of play. Ove Åberg took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Burg. Tony Burg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. 94 minutes into the match, Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Åberg came free, but Tony Burg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lyon's Jean-Pierre Boulais got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bearnaise EA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lyon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
