The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Savaşer Kainat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Hägg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Savaşer Kainat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Lång went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lars-Erik Utfal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Johnny Skoog, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Savaşer Kainat was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Hägg came free, but Savaşer Kainat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Skoog in the 14th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Savaşer Kainat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Ulf Lång shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savaşer Kainat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savaşer Kainat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Skoog, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 30th play minutes Lars-Erik Utfal shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Savaşer Kainat and just under the crossbar into goal. After 32 minutes of play, FC Bodil United's Ulf Lång made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Savaşer Kainat was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nihat Paye hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Savaşer Kainat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birkan Özbilge during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Birkan Özbilge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Newells Old Boys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Gert Friberger scored to the left of an out of position Savaşer Kainat, making the score, 0-8. When the final whistle sounded FC Bodil United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newells Old Boys.
