Without hesitation aimed to the right of Savaşer Kainat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 17 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Kamil Geylani. After 29 minutes, Isaac Robson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Newells Old Boys's Savaşer Kainat tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Trev Douglas came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the T H F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trev Douglas couldn't finish the play. Adrian Connett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Timothy Bostock got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Philip Delaney hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Arif Memduh Özsungur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierce Dwyer. T H F C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arif Memduh Özsungur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Erbatur Bakırcıoğlu got a free kick in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Newells Old Boys's Savaşer Kainat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Tanner in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Trev Douglas managed to get in a good position for a shot. T H F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Trev Douglas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Savaşer Kainat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arif Memduh Özsungur struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Pierce Dwyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newells Old Boys. If Rhys Tanner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Engin Ersavaş to maneuver through the defense. When Nihat Paye fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newells Old Boys's protests and gave Nihat Paye a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Nihat Paye. In the 75thth minute of the game Rhys Tanner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newells Old Boys's Savaşer Kainat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Philip Delaney hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Savaşer Kainat came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by T H F C's Isaac Robson. But to his dismay, Isaac Robson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 87th minute, Birkan Özbilge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Savaşer Kainat came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by T H F C's Alex Aiston. But to his dismay, Alex Aiston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. T H F C had played much better football throughout.
