The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Gomesano Barrufet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Márcio de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Percival Simão fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oranil's protests and gave Percival Simão a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Percival Simão. With a little luck, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's Fernando Collantes got control of the ball when Gonçalo Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Percival Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Soeiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. Gonçalo Soeiro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Fernando Collantes 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Frantxizko Millares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Téo Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Christobal Riazos came free, but Téo Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Oranil getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Ortiz hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Christobal Riazos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Percival Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernando Collantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Garin Mesa fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 76th match minute, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gomesano Barrufet to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Simão in the 78th minute of play forced Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's goalkeeper Fernando Collantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Collantes came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Oranil's Percival Simão. But to his dismay, Percival Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christobal Riazos in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Téo Koehler saved Oranil from getting behind. After some careless play in the Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan defense, Gonçalo Soeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Collantes. The Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Collantes should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute Zadornin Lasalde suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 95th minute of the match Percival Simão completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Percival Simão a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 97th minute, Percival Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Oranil fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
