FC Barcelona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Josef Frýba in the 6th minute. FC Barcelona's Josef Frýba was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eusébio Albuquerque in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 8th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Šmída to maneuver through the defense. FC Barcelona's Vadim Jurák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Garcia in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Santo Amaro AC booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position.
