The audience thought a goal was coming when Cevdet Vecih got free with Levi Clement in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Altuğ Savaşer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C. A. Independiente's Levi Clement played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cevdet Vecih in the 6th minute of play. After 11th play minutes Ferdinand Bauer shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Necip Fazıl Onat and just under the crossbar into goal. Weldon Morrow kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Levi Clement showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Altuğ Savaşer, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Levi Clement took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Altuğ Savaşer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C. A. Independiente's Levi Clement proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Independiente from getting a goal against them. Cevdet Vecih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Ahmet Baki Mertkal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roy Huston kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olcay Orkun Mahsun in the 42nd minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Levi Clement to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinand Bauer during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of BEŞİKTAŞK booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Bauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Ragıp Çetiner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Levi Clement, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdinand Bauer was the one to do the kick off. Levi Clement took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cevdet Vecih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute of the match BEŞİKTAŞK got a corner. C. A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ragıp Çetiner ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Olcay Orkun Mahsun heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Levi Clement showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragıp Çetiner, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Roy Huston came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Huston couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute of the match Ahmet Ceyhan İncili shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Levi Clement showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Weldon Morrow kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ahmet Baki Mertkal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Levi Clement. C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 78th minute Ragıp Çetiner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levi Clement saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when BEŞİKTAŞK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Baki Mertkal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes BEŞİKTAŞK got a freekick which was hit by Olcay Orkun Mahsun. Altuğ Savaşer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levi Clement having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Cevdet Vecih came free, but Levi Clement reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the BEŞİKTAŞK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
