An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Cavalcante in the 6th minute of play forced Barreal FC's goalkeeper Amador Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Vachon hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Daniel Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amador Frichoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Txilar in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeu do Valle saved A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 from getting behind. With a little luck, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Tadeu do Valle got control of the ball when Cosme Mattin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tadeu do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Mattin in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Angel Vachon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barreal FC's Amador Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Toscano in the 34th minute of play. Válbson Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Amador Frichoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Gabino's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Tadeu do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Txilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barreal FC were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ladislao Gabino took the corner. 44 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Toscano came free, but Amador Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Amador Frichoso made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Barreal FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Angel Vachon hit a great ball. When Ulises Ihintza fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barreal FC's protests and gave Ulises Ihintza a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Luís Tróia from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Amador Frichoso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
