The nice shot from Nildo Rezende in the 36thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ştefan Gârniceanu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Nildo Rezende sped through FC Lutanu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ştefan Gârniceanu. Valdemar de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Grozăvescu in the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Bene Animatus's goal looked a bit too open when Gavril Burnei came free, but Valdemar de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fabian Geambașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavril Burnei was the one to do the kick off.
