The audience was convinced that Isidoro Mangas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thor Skager was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 9thth minute of the game Isidoro Mangas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellbystrand IK's Thor Skager was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Isidoro Mangas sped through Mellbystrand IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thor Skager. In the 18th minute, Isidoro Mangas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thor Skager was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Mellbystrand IK's zone, Berto Lacorte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thor Skager came out of the goal and Berto Lacorte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Mangas struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Thor Skager didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLARREAL UNITED. When Isidoro Mangas came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the VILLARREAL UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Mangas couldn't finish the play. Roland Lindman hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Thor Skager, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Mellbystrand IK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Arne Linberg hit a great ball. After the first half VILLARREAL UNITED were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthon Gernberg to make the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Anthon Gernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellbystrand IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthon Gernberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thor Skager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordaro Ramis in the 63rd minute of play. VILLARREAL UNITED's Arnalt Ortiz was substituted for Berto Lacorte. 67 minutes into the match, Isidoro Mangas notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Mellbystrand IK's Thor Skager. Thor Skager was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Tristan Zapater came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the VILLARREAL UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tristan Zapater couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Cordaro Ramis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thor Skager. Mellbystrand IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cordaro Ramis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Simon Hjortsberg hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's Tristan Zapater broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Isidoro Mangas's late challenge caught a Mellbystrand IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. VILLARREAL UNITED played a much better game than Mellbystrand IK and deserved their victory. The Mellbystrand IK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
