In the 41st minute Boruc Majdoch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Stenqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mauro booed when Stream Sponsoren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Vase didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gert Vase to make the kick off. Radomil Zbikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Emil Strömberg in the 93rd minute of play. Mauro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
