After 7 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Ferry van Zalingen. Henny Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Ziya Ulubek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Los Tatangelos's Yücel Süleyman in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verwachting's goalie prevented a goal. 26 minutes into the game, Verwachting's Pascall Mik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdurrahim Sağlamer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Jurjen Tanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Ziya Ulubek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Los Tatangelos's Yücel Süleyman got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Sjors Schulte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sjors Schulte to make the kick off. Abdurrahim Sağlamer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjors Schulte's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Yiğitcan Balcı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Henny Jans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Yücel Süleyman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdurrahim Sağlamer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjors Schulte in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Verwachting getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Sjors Schulte hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Sjors Schulte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdurrahim Sağlamer. Los Tatangelos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sjors Schulte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 83rd minute Yücel Süleyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henny Jans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ahmet Ziya Ulubek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Tatangelos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Ziya Ulubek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henny Jans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yücel Süleyman scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henny Jans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Many of Los Tatangelos's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Los Tatangelos may have spent more time on the ball, but Verwachting were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
