Martien van Boxel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emiel van der Gun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luuk Ridder in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Mijdrecht Maffia's Peter Homan got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 23rd minute, Douwe van den Bergh made a precise shot to the right of Martien van Boxel. Fc Benefica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Benefica's zone, Twan Zoolingen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martien van Boxel came out of the goal and Twan Zoolingen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Toni Stühling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Benefica's Martien van Boxel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Theo Blikman 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Theo Blikman hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mijdrecht Maffia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jordi van Dartel hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Fc Benefica's Bjorn Mos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 41st match minute, Fc Benefica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Zoethout to maneuver through the defense. Gerrit van der Weerden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Martien van Boxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Toni Stühling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fc Benefica:s Martien van Boxel showed great skill when he stopped Toni Stühling:s penalty. Toni Stühling scored 1-3 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martien van Boxel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 59th minute, Gerrit van der Weerden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Gerrit van der Weerden. 63 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Blikman came free, but Emiel van der Gun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Rolf Schophuis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mijdrecht Maffia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Benefica the free kick. Toni Stühling who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Martien van Boxel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 71st minute Theo Blikman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiel van der Gun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiel van der Gun came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Benefica's Theo Blikman. But to his dismay, Theo Blikman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Peter Homan kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Douwe van den Bergh's late challenge caught a Fc Benefica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douwe van den Bergh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Douwe van den Bergh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martien van Boxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrit van der Weerden, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toni Stühling got free with Martien van Boxel in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 95 in the game by Toni Stühling from a close distance when the talented Martien van Boxel managed to make a qualified save. Fc Benefica's players were relieved. If Toni Stühling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 98 played minutes Toni Stühling rounded Fc Benefica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mijdrecht Maffia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
