The referee ignored ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's protests and gave Gaspar Chuse a yellow card for diving instead. 6 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Confesor came free, but Eli Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eli Villalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute, GreenUnited's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rene Henric fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 16 minutes into the game, Florencio Antoniano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Faustino Horado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eli Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Ibon in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Erasmo Raymon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Txeru Montaña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustino Horado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 46th minute Horacio Confesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eli Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Txeru Montaña to make the kick off. 63 minutes into the game, Horacio Confesor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Eli Villalobos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Timoteo Sandalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eli Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Ibon in the 84th minute of play. Horacio Confesor took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eli Villalobos. Eli Villalobos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
