In the 7th minute, one of El Pasteral F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Pasteral F.C. 15 minutes into the match, El Pasteral F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Decottignies came free, but Kevin Verdu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jean-Charles Gauche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herblay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Charles Gauche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Verdu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, El Pasteral F.C's Baldovino Cuadrado got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Gildas Montaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herblay's Dove Roig got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 minutes of play, Herblay's Jean-Charles Gauche made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Verdu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, El Pasteral F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Charles Gauche came free, but Kevin Verdu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathieu Bouziane charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathieu Bouziane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Herblay got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Bouziane. Gildas Montaut might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kevin Verdu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gildas Montaut ran back to his position shaking his head. After 44 minutes El Pasteral F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucien Decottignies who took care of the corner kick. When Dove Roig came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Herblay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dove Roig couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dove Roig to make the kick off. A collision led to El Pasteral F.C getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Anxo Echavarri hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Lucien Decottignies took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Kevin Verdu to make any attempt to save it. Dove Roig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the match, El Pasteral F.C's goalkeeper Kevin Verdu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Charles Gauche.
