The audience was convinced that Andi Godescheid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudolf Gaarsmand was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Karsten Wolsch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Rudolf Gaarsmand made a huge save. Hertha 1969's Karsten Wolsch got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andi Godescheid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Rudolf Gaarsmand made a huge save. Karsten Wolsch in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rudolf Gaarsmand, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Andi Godescheid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Rudolf Gaarsmand made a huge save.
