Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 5 minutes into the game, Jörg Hebenthal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tiger's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curiphila Eagles the free kick. Jörg Hebenthal kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Naldo Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curiphila Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute of the match, Donato Prestes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hartmut Weidenhammer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fulko Schwaderer charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulko Schwaderer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Curiphila Eagles booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulko Schwaderer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Curiphila Eagles's Donato Prestes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 34th match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Costa to maneuver through the defense. Murilo Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raik Sauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulko Schwaderer in the 37th minute of play forced Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Murilo Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Fulko Schwaderer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Kiko Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulko Schwaderer in the 41st minute of play. Murilo Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulko Schwaderer, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tiger's Roberto Reeck was substituted for Edmund Trox. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Prestes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raik Sauer in the 56th minute of play forced Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Murilo Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Raik Sauer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Murilo Paiva, 1-2. 67 minutes into the game, Raik Sauer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Murilo Paiva. Raik Sauer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Hartfrid Hirtzel's late challenge caught a Curiphila Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hartfrid Hirtzel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Hartfrid Hirtzel hit a great ball. After 72 minutes of play, Curiphila Eagles's Kiko Mattos made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hartmut Weidenhammer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, David Garefrekes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th match minute, Tiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Magino to maneuver through the defense. Hartmut Weidenhammer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hartmut Weidenhammer having to interfere. A collision led to Curiphila Eagles getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Tadeu do Vale hit a great ball. Hartfrid Hirtzel kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, David Garefrekes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raik Sauer in the 86th minute of play. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Curiphila Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 89th match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Cearense to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Raik Sauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Manuel Gebauer got a free kick in the 97th minute. In the 98th minute Dieguinho Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Weidenhammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tiger had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
